Los Angeles based Contemporary Christian singer and songwriter John Stratton began writing original songs on guitar and developing his skills as a singer-songwriter at just 13 years old.
Tragically at 15, John was hit by a car and sustained significant nerve damage to his hands, possibly preventing him from ever playing guitar again. Through prayer, rehab, and perseverance, John was miraculously able to teach himself to play again.
John went on to study music at Azusa Pacific, where he played hundreds of shows with up and coming bands in Los Angeles. Over the course of his career, John has opened for major artists, including Phil Wickham, Israel Houghton, Evan Craft, and others. He has even served as a worship leader and pastor.
John’s songs share the stories of his journey; stories of love, hope, happiness, and pain. His new single Body & Soul features his wife Marina; it's a song where romance and real-life collide in a tale of two kids who choose to dive into the deep end together to discover what real love looks like. John sets the background of the story with fresh drums, guitar hooks, and vibes for days. Body & Soul includes an upcoming music video and will be followed by an EP later this year.
